Publications
The Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland produces a newletter - IAI News
- on an bi-annual basis. This is circulated to members as an e-document
and can also be downloaded from the website. Back issues of IAI News
and its predecessor IAPA News will shortly be made available for
download also.
In November 2002 the Journal of Archaeology was adopted by the then newly formed Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland. All members receive a copy of each issue of the journal on publication. Non-members can order the journal directly from the publishers Wordwell Ltd.
Further information on back issues of JIA can be obtained from the journal's website.

Discovering the Archaeologists of Europe - Project Report
In
2006, the IAI was invited to participate in the European Association of
Archaeologists project Discovering the Archaeologists of Europe
in partnership with the Institute of Field Archaeologists in the UK.
The
Disco
project is a study of archaeological practice across twelve
countries of
the European Union, funded by the European Commission through the
Leonardo da
Vinci II fund.
The IAI commissioned University College Dublin to
undertake the Irish section of the survey, with generous funding
support
from the Heritage Council, and the project report is now
complete and
available for download here.
