Call for papers!

With the imminent publication of Vol. XXXII of the Journal of Irish Archaeology, the Call for Papers for Vol. XXXIII is now open (to be published in late 2024). It will close on 31st January 2024.

Two different categories of articles will be considered for publication: papers (no longer than 10,000 words, including bibliography, tables, and captions) and reports (no longer than 3,500 words, including bibliography, tables, and captions). Please see the IAI website for further details – https://www.iai.ie/journal-of-irish-archaeology-jia/

Editorship of the journal changes every two years, rotating between the archaeology teaching staff in third-level institutions on the island of Ireland. The Editorial Board of the JIA has now been added to the official rotation and the next two volumes will be edited by Dr Kerri Cleary. If you would like to contribute to the JIA you are encouraged to contact the Editor, Dr Cleary ([email protected]), for a preliminary informal discussion.

The IAI and Wordwell Books would like to thank our outgoing editor Dr Helen Lewis (UCD) for an outstanding contribution over the last two years!
